2022-2023 What’s going on
We have some great workshops and events planned for the year ahead. These are the important dates for your diary this year…
Sat 14th May 2022: Fairisle knitting workshop with Janet Renouf-Miller – this workshop has been rescheduled to our November meeting
Sat 11th June 2022: general meeting
Sat 9th July 2022: Felted fleece seat pad workshop with Ruth Ashton-Shaw
Sat 6th August: Dumfries Agricultural Show – guild members will be demonstrating skills
Sat 13th August: general meeting
Sat 10th September: Tapestry Weaving workshop with Rita Corbett
Sunday 9th October: Gathering & Challenge ‘waste not want not’ – see poster (below) for further details
Saturday 12th November: Beginner Spinning workshop with Fiona Moir – FULL AND Fairisle knitting workshop with Janet Renouf-Miller (rescheduled from May)
Saturday 10th December: Christmas party – bring food, show & tell. Our charity this year is Hats for RNLI – they will provide a member to give a brief talk
Saturday 14th January 2023: general meeting (unless otherwise notified)
Saturday 11th February 2023: Annual General Meeting (AGM)
1st March 2023: membership fees due
Saturday 11th March 2023: workshop with tutor TBA
Members have priority on all workshops up to one month before the workshop date. Remaining places are then offered to non members. Places are reserved by payment of a fee to the treasurer. This is only refundable if a replacement is guaranteed. A small material charge may be payable when appropriate.
Workshop fees this year are £25.00 per day, unless advised otherwise.
General meetings still take place on workshop days, so if you just want to bring your crafting and have a natter, that’s fine too!
Tea and coffee is available at meetings. Please bring a packed lunch
